Kansas City police are investigating the death of man whose body was found in a burning home at East 44th Street and Wayne Avenue early Thursday morning, according to KMBC Channel 9.
Homicide detectives are investigating how the man died, and fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of the blaze, which was first reported around 2 a.m., KMBC reports.
KMBC reports that the KCPD's Murder Squad will be on the scene today, and an autopsy is also scheduled to determine the man's cause of death.
The man's name has not been released nor has any official info from the KCPD.
