Last night, a man followed someone he thought matched the description of the serial rapist from Kansas City, Missouri, to Kansas City, Kansas, and he's lucky it didn't get him shot (Updated: KCTV 5 says the guy did get shot but wasn't hurt).
The
Kansas City Star reports that a man tailed someone he thought looked like the suspected rapist to 9th and Cleveland while on the phone with police.
The guy kept a tail from KCMO to KCK while calling police, but once the vehicle the man was tracking stopped at 9th and Cleveland. The man being tailed stopped at a residence, went inside and returned with a gun. KCK police reportedly took someone into custody, but the report says they don't believe is the suspected serial rapist.
So a case of racial profiling gone wrong.
In other serial rapist news, KMBC Channel 9
reports that a woman who woke up and found her front door wide open,
she claims she locked it before going to sleep, and is now considering
moving out of Waldo. KSHB
Channel 41 notes that another woman has posted a sign reading, "We
have a gun. So don't bother," in the window of her home. Finally, Midtown
Miscreant looks at the mob mentality and points out disturbing comments
on the Facebook page "Lets

@ Caroline, I didn't realize they still sold those.
Great idea to be observant and concerned. Too bad this guy was wearing his Bad Idea Jeans at the time.
I hope all this rapist awareness doesn't make this guy high tail it out of KC and then he's never found.
...reports that a man tailed someone he thought looked like the suspected racist...
This made me smile.
