We'll have to wait a little longer to find out how many years in prison Scott Roeder will get for killing Wichita abortion provider George Tiller in a church last year.
Roeder's sentencing is scheduled for 9 a.m. April 1, less than a year after he snuffed out Tiller.
The delay is at the request of Roeder's defense attorneys.
Prosecutors
want the "Hard 50," meaning Roeder would have to serve 50 years in
prison before he'd be eligible for parole. Roeder turned 52 last Thursday, so it's not looking good for him seeing the outside world again.
Roeder left
no doubt that he shot Tiller, testifying that he shot him at
point-blank range during a church service on May 31, 2009. He testified that he killed Tiller to save the
lives of unborn babies. A jury needed less than 40 minutes to convict
Roeder of first-degree murder.

Thanks a lot for this post. It's incredibly informative. If you don't mind, I've got a question; How do you deal with Spam in blog comments? I genuinely hate it, It wastes my time and I hate dealing with it each day. Do you have any suggestions for what I can do to reduce the amount of comment spam I get on my blog? Thanks for the suggestions"
April 1, one year and a day after he snuffed out Tiller on May 31 of last year
May 31, 2009 to April 1, 2010 would be one day short of ten months, not a year and a day.
