The death of James M. Elrod has been ruled a homicide. A landlord found the 58-year-old's body on the living room floor of an apartment in the 1100 block of The Paseo around 6:30 a.m. January 16.
Elrod's cause of death has not been released.
Elrod is Kansas City, Missouri's 16th homicide victim of 2010. At this time last year, Kansas City, Missouri, had 21 homicides.
