Today

Reflect on this crazy nation -- Barbie Nation. The documentary about Barbie fanatics screens for free today at UMKC's University Center in conjunction with the Toy and Miniature Museum of Kansas City's current Barbie exhibit.

Tuesday

Pretend that Jimi Hendrix never died. More than a dozen musicians, most famous in their own right, will pay tribute to Hendrix on Tuesday night at the Uptown Theater.

Wednesday

Drink like you're Irish. Wednesday is St. Patrick's Day.

Thursday

Pet some dogs. Four days of competitive dog shows kick off at the Independence Events Center on Thursday.
