a woman.

Tip: Don't go flaunting your thousand dollar tax return. A Wendy's employee found out the hard way when two of her fellow employees, twin sisters, allegedly plotted to rob her and staged a carjacking at a gas station at 3027 Van Brunt.

Here's the set up: A robbery victim believes that twin sisters Letika N. and Letia M. Turner set her up to be robbed of her $1,900 tax return in a staged carjacking on Monday.

The robbery victim worked with the Turner sisters at a Wendy's. They had all walked to a gas station at 3027 Van Brunt. There, Letia Turner saw the victim pull money out of an envelope that had her tax refund, and she asked to borrow $5. The robbery victim didn't give her the five spot, but later agreed to pay her $5 in exchange for a ride home. That's when it all went down.

Turner allegedly helped stage a carjacking to steal a woman's $1,900 tax

refund.

The Turner sisters and future robbery victim stopped at the gas station again on the way home to fill up. That's when a man hopped in the backseat of the

car, pulled out a .9 millimeter hand gun and demanded, "You bitches, drive

this car bitch" and "Do y'all bitches got some money?" The women said no, but the man pointed his gun at the victim, who gave him her cell phone.

The man then "patted" her down and took her envelope with $1,900.

The

alleged robber made the women drive to 30th and York, where he let out the

victim and Letia Turner and took off. Those two walked back to the gas station and

called police. The victim described the suspected robber as a black man, between

5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, and wearing a hooded sweatshirt and polo shirt

with black pants.

Detectives searched the Turners' home in the 4400 block of Park where

they smelled marijuana. Oh, and Letika Turner denied ever being

carjacked. Detectives executed a search warrant for a red Pontiac Grand

AM parked at the address. Inside the car, they found an envelope with

the robbery victim's name written on it along with a black hooded

jacket.

Brown told police that he helped plot the robbery ... via text messages.

In the kitchen of the home, detectives found $480 stashed in a gap

between the top of the kitchen cabinets and the ceiling tile. Hey, who

trusts banks these days?

Police arrested Letika Turner and an 18-year-old man named James

Brown, who had been rummaging around the Turners' kitchen. They also

confiscated Turner's and Brown's cell phones and discovered text

messages about meeting at the gas station, getting the money and

dropping a gun off to a man named "Tay."

Letika Turner refused to talk to detectives, but Brown confessed to

planning  and committing the robbery. He said he had an agreement to split the cash with the Turner

twins.

He also led police to the gun, which he had stashed between the mattresses in Letia Turner's

bedroom, and the money, locked in the trunk of the

Pontiac parked at the Turners' home. He also ID'ed Donte

L. Watson as the man who allegedly supplied the gun for the robbery.

Letia Turner later admitted to police that she planned the robbery with

her sister and Brown. She said her cut so far was $100 or $125.

She also let police search her bedroom, where officers found a .9 millimeter

semi-automatic hand gun between the mattresses. Police also found the

victim's cell phone in a sofa in the Turners' living room.

Brown

and the Turner twins are charged with first-degree robbery and armed

criminal action.
