Man dead in Riverside after officer-involved shooting

A law enforcement officer shot and killed a man in Riverside Thursday afternoon.

KMBC Channel 9 reports that police responded to a disturbance at a home near Vivion Road and Gateway Avenue.

A man with a gun was seen running into a wooded area behind the home. More police arrived at the scene as the man reportedly became more aggressive with the gun leading to the shooting.
