  • Terrell Crout allegedly shot and killed Avion Williamson inside a city bus depot.

Avion D. Williamson was unarmed when Terrell D. Crout allegedly shot and killed him inside a bus depot at 39th and Troost on February 22.

Crout, 18, allegedly shot Williamson, 18, several times with a semi-automatic handgun around 1:45 p.m. that day.

Jackson County prosecutors charged Crout yesterday with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Crout documents say witnesses told police that they saw three black men

enter the bus

depot before Williamson showed up. When Williamson arrived, the three

men left the depot and stood outside the building's northwest entrance.

That's when they claim Crout entered the building and shot Williamson

multiple times. Surveillance video backed up the witnesses' claims.

When

police arrived on the scene, they spotted a person running away from

the bus depot. Inside the depot, they found five 9 millimeter shell

casings and two expended bullets. Police IDed Crout's associates, and

one of them named Crout as the shooter.
