Update: White supremacist, anti-Semite and all around racist prick Glenn Miller has been putting nasty ads promoting his U.S. Senate campaign on KMBZ 980 and WDAF-FM.
Federal law forces the stations to air the ads (although the Missouri Broadcasters Association is asking Attorney General Chris Koster to determine whether Miller is a "legally qualified" Senate candidate to see if they can get around airing them).
I asked KMBZ evening talker (and friend of The Pitch) Darla Jaye where the money from Miller's ads was going. In an e-mail, she told me that the station is donating the money to the Olathe Chapter of the NAACP and the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City.
"The money has already been sent to both organizations, and if he decides to force his ugliness on us again, or any of the 8 Entercom Kansas City radio stations, that money will also be split between the two organizations, for them to use as they wish."So at least some good is coming out of this mess.

Listening to KMBZ 980 lately makes me want to plug my ears more than
usual. The station has been running racist campaign ads from Glenn Miller, a write-in candidate running for Kit Bond's U.S. Senate seat.
In
the ads, Miller calls white men "cowards," says women and children
should spit on them and calls on them "to unite" to take back America (listen to the ads here).
"America
is no longer ours," Miller says in one ad. "America belongs to the Jews
who rule it and the mud people who multiply in it."
It gets a lot worse.
"But you don't care, do you, whitey? All you care about is satisfying
your belly, pocketbook and genitals and watching the coons play ball on
television."

KMBZ's managers are throwing up their hands and saying federal law requires them to air the ads without edits. So for the next few months, we'll be hearing stuff like this:
