Stephene Moore is running for her husband's Congressional seat. Moore made her run official today. Her husband, Dennis Moore, is not seeking re-election.

Stephene Moore is a Democrat and a registered nurse. She did a comprehensive interview with the Star (summary: she's pro choice, pro stimulus, pro health-care reform but anti-bank bailout).

Moore released a statement saying she's lived in Kansas' 3rd Congressional District for more than 40 years and will work to make Kansas " a great place to live, work, and raise a family."

"I will be a voice of reason who puts Kansas families ahead of

partisanship, because it shouldn't matter if an idea is a Democratic

idea or a Republican idea, what is important is if it is a good idea

for Kansas.

"In Congress I will take the best of what Dennis has done and carry it

forward while using my unique background to direct my work on creating

jobs, ensuring access to health care, and preparing students to compete

in the global economy."

Her Web site is live, so you know it's true.

On the Republican side, several candidates are announced, including state Sen. Nick Jordan, state Rep. Kevin Yoder and former state Rep.

Patricia Lightner.

Wow!, this has been a top-notch superior write. The theory is that I would like to post this way too - spending time and tremendous effort to manufacture a useful article... nonetheless what can I say... I put things off a whole lot and do not seem to get something finished
