Operation Rescue wants Rob Wasinger out of Congressional race -- for the babies

  • Rob Wasinger isn't listening to Operation Rescue.

The candidate with the most potent sperm won't be getting an endorsement from Operation Rescue.

The anti-abortion group is calling for Rob Wasinger to drop out of the race for Jerry Moran's soon-to-be-vacant Congressional seat.

Wasinger, a father of nine, would seem to be the ideal poster candidate for a pro-life group. But even though Wasinger isn't shooting blanks in the bedroom, he is at the polls and those numbers are scaring the Jeebus out of Operation Rescue's Troy Newman.

Newman is terrified Wasinger could siphon away votes "from a more

experienced and proven pro-life conservative" leading to (heaven

forbid) a pro-abort victory. Of course, this is because Kansans vote on

only one issue: Abortion.

Newman writes:

"Too often pro-life candidates defeat themselves and hurt pro-life efforts by

running against each other in primary elections, thereby splitting the pro-life

vote and allowing the liberal or moderate, big tent Republican to get elected.

Wasinger can't win, and if he stays in the race he will act as a 'spoiler,'

ensuring that the best man will not make it to Washington, D.C.

"For the good of Kansas, for the good of the Republican Party, and for the good

of the babies we ask that Mr. Wasinger remove himself from this race."

Yes, for the babies.

I called Wasinger to see if he was going to take Operation Rescue's advice, but he didn't immediately return my call. However, I'm told he isn't dropping out of the race.
