The man convicted of killing Wichita abortion provider George Tiller is not finding prison's accommodations to his liking.
Scott Roeder has filed a petition complaining about his treatment as well as asking for his release, according to an Associated Press report. A hearing has been scheduled for June 4 in Wichita so Roeder can air his grievances. Roeder is also appealing his murder conviction.
Roeder was found guilty in January of first-degree murder for killing Tiller and sentenced to a "hard 50" sentence, meaning he won't be getting parole for 50 years.

Roeder does have the best quote ever (not verbatim) "Only God can take the lives of human beings, that is why I had to kill Tiller". That level of hypocrisy only can dealt with by laughing. That was something he said in court before he was sentenced.

Maybe he's lonely? Put him in the same cell with BTK,the Carr brothers, or Big Bubba! He murdered an unarmed man in church. He thinks he's such a martyr. Well, martyrs get to spend time in prison. Get used to it!
@Kathy: Whether one agrees that abortion is wrong or not, killing Tiller was pre-meditated murder. Preventing other abortions by killing Tiller was not a sustainable defense. If Roeder doesn't like it in prison - he's getting what he deserved. I totally agree with BooHoo!

I have seen pictures of aborted fetuses and I am still pro-choice. I have also seen first hand babies with horrible deformities that died right after birth. The only difference is the mother didn't have to suffer three-five months of carrying a baby that was destined to die.
Kathy, don't have an abortion if you are against it, but stay the hell out of everyone else's medical decisions.

Scott Roeder broke the law and now he must live with his choices...whether you are pro choice or pro life there are laws that are to abide by....personally I hope he finds prison unbearable as prison is meant as punishment!
