Waldo resident still likes Ron Paul's 2008 presidential chances

You know how silly it looks when you stop in traffic and in front of you there's a car in front of you with bumper stickers from past elections? It always comes off as either the sour detritus of failure or smug gloating. Now imagine how annoying it is to live next door to someone whose bumper sticker takes up most the curbside view of his house. If you're reading this, homeowner at 74th and Holmes, know that you're making Ron Paul supporters look like douchebags and smothering your neighbors with your obnoxiousness. Ron Paul lost. Find a new cause. Maybe a "Don't Tread On Me," sign. Anything. Just please, change the record.

Maybe I don't understand libertarianism in a modern senes, but would we even have the street or the stop sign without public works?....and isn't public works something that libertarianism believes the government shouldn't be involved in? Sorry, it doesn't add up. Putting a huge sign on your house is ridiculously annoying. Perhaps this goofball can move to New Hampshire with the rest of the libertarians.

Political views aside, any huge banner on a side of a house looks extremely tacky. Take it down already! You can put up a new one during the next election season.

Seriously? The poll came from don'ttreadonme.com? LOL!

It came from Rasmussen - ever heard of it? One of the most credible polling organizations there is. It's kind of a big deal.

Perhaps the reason the sign is still up is because of the difference between Obama supporters and Paul supporters. The first group hoped that Obama would give them something for nothing and instead lost not only hope but liberty. The second group hoped that Paul would give them nothing but the same they offered him; service for service, liberty for liberty, honor for honor and trust for trust. Paul supported (like myself) still have hope in not only Paul but also liberty and freedom. We push, pull and nag everyone we meet to simply remember who Americans really are; sons and daughters of liberty, spiritual if not physical descendants of the Founders.

His property right? Why does it bother you?
Is it because you voted for "Change" and the only "Change" you got from the present Administration is in your pocket? Talk Staying the Course!

Yes, and living in Boulder County, CO, every time I see a Obama and Biden bumper sticker, I have a sudden urge to flip them off. How could anybody be so stupid as to vote for someone that ran on "Hope and Change", and there is little hope and no change?

In a hypothetical race between fantasy and reality, recent polling finds the contest too close to call.

In a hypothetical race between Ron Paul and president Obama recent polling finds the contest too close to call. This from one of the big national polling organizations. So, yes keep those Ron Paul signs up where people can see them.

I guess you consider this smug gloating rather than being a sore loser?

If you feel bad that you didn't vote the right way last time there is always hope that you can do better in 2012.

How about just putting a '2012' sticker over the '2008'. Sounds good to me! And yes, he does have a chance.
