Eric Berry, Tennessee safety, drafted by Kansas City Chiefs: Six reasons to get excited

The Kansas City Chiefs picked Tennessee safety Eric Berry in the first round of the NFL Draft last night. Here's six reasons to be excited.

1. He has an awesome rap video.

2. He's a destroyer. Berry can throw a bone-jarring hit.

3. He can haul balls. Watch the pick six on Tim Tebow. His

motor -- 4.47 second 40 -- is freakish.

4. He's a playmaker. The Chiefs were short on difference-makers in the

secondary (the Chiefs' defense ranked 22nd overall in pass defense and

31st in overall defense). Berry fills that need -- and he's ready to play

now.

5. His Heisman campaign videos were pretty damn funny.

6.

He's smart. He was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated

with a 3.75 grade point average. The Chiefs can always use character

guys. Torpedoing Tebow doesn't hurt either.
