The parking lot of Arrowhead Stadium sounds like a fight club, according to a lawsuit filed against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Terral Cline, of Lenexa, cited police reports that showed 29 other assaults had occurred in the parking lot in the five years before an Oakland Raiders fan broke his nose and knocked him

out in November 2005. One such assault involved a Missouri State Highway Patrol officer.

Cline and the Chiefs struck a confidential settlement last week, according to a report from Missouri Lawyers Media.

Details of the settlement have not been released, and none of the

attorneys involved are talking

In the lawsuit, Cline claimed his

injuries were due to inadequate security at Arrowhead and resulted in

$27,000 in medical expenses.

Cline claimed the Raiders fan had

been kicked out of the stadium prior to the assault, but the club didn't

make sure the fan had left the property, leaving him in the parking

lot.

"The assault occurred because of the lack of

adequate security to

control the crowds at Arrowhead Stadium which become unruly, threatening

and assaultive after Chiefs games," [Cline's attorney John] Turner wrote. "The patrons of

Chiefs games are provided with alcohol and an environment exists in

which confrontation assaults and behavior takes place in the parking

lot."

In court documents, the Chiefs put the blame on Cline, claiming his

injuries were partly his fault because he was drinking and arguing with

tailgating Raiders fans.

I used to work security at these games. They are not safe. I quit from Crowd Systems last year because I felt unsafe working these games. The cops and MHP just huddle together and only swoop in to arrest people but provide little prevention. Pat downs are a joke in arrowhead, we were constantly confiscating boot knives and other hazards. Add in alcohol, testosterone, and a losing team and it is a miracle someone hasn't been murdered yet.

I hope this doesn't lead to anymore fighting between Raiders and Chiefs fans at Arrowhead. (or in Oakland for that matter) I've been to a few Raiders/Chiefs games at Arrowhead and found people to be pretty civil and friendly. No matter who won. It's just a game, folks!
