Monday
Enjoy show tunes performed live. Musical Theater Heritage presents Musical Mondays at Off Center Theatre on a few choice Mondays throughout the year. Tonight is one of them.

Tuesday
Shop locally. Westport 39 -- the building at 611 West 39th Street that houses such cool businesses as Boomerang and Mash Handmade -- celebrates its grand opening from 5 to 8 p.m.

Wednesday
Shoot some tequila! Wednesday is Cinco de Mayo. Appropriately, Latin rock back Making Movies is playing in the Power & Light district at 9 p.m.

Thursday
Learn about Louis Armstrong. This is a jazz town -- why not? Armstrong expert and author Terry Teachout will talk about his book Pops: A Life of Louis Armstrong at the Central Branch of the Kansas City, Missouri, Public Library on Thursday night at 6:30.
