Larry Johnson is gone and soon Plaza nightspot Blonde will be too.
The Star's Joyce Smith cites a Facebook message from Blonde announcing the ultra lounge's farewell tour:
"Friends, We at Blonde would like to thank you all for 5 great years! We are closed this weekend but stay tuned for info regarding a series of farewell events beginning next Saturday, May 8th. We will post all the info regarding the events right here on Facebook."
Blonde will be remembered as the nightclub where ex-Kansas City Chief Larry
Johnson was
accused of spitting in Ashley
Stewart's face and threatening to kill her boyfriend. And
$200-plus bottle service.
In January, we found out that Highwoods
Realty Limited
Partnership is suing Blonde's parent company, Stephanie
Entertainment
Inc. for $78,000 in unpaid rent.
They also want interest and late fees.
Smith also points out that the landlord is after the "dance floor, swing
chair, and padded 'bed' platform," and an announcement of a replacement
in the 100 Ward Parkway space could be coming soon.
