KMBC Channel 9 is reporting that two players with ties to the University of Kansas football team were arrested for attempted aggravated robbery.
Jamal Greene, who is still on the team, and Vernon D. Brooks, who was kicked off the team, allegedly tried to rob an apartment in the 2600 block of West Sixth Street at gunpoint Friday around 1:30 a.m.
Brooks, 23, and Greene, 22, were both arrested this morning and police found the handgun allegedly used in the robbery.
Greene is a junior defensive tackle from KCK. He played in nine games last season.
If the allegations are true, it might be time to call in Mark Mangino for some discipline. Nah.
