Bobbie Jo Geveshausen liked to videotape her boyfriend, Edward D. Shockey, sexually abusing her 16-year-old daughter. And sometimes, the 43-year-old woman liked to join in.
For that, she'll be serving 58 years in prison -- a sentence that ignores the Missouri Sentencing Advisory Commission's recommendation of probation.
"It is difficult to imagine
the depravity of a mother who would willingly engage in the sexual abuse
of her own daughter," Platte County prosecutor Eric Zahnd said in
a statement. "I can think of no one-other than our state's
Sentencing Advisory Commission-who would recommend probation for such
unspeakable crimes."
Shockey loaned videos showing him sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl to the victim's boyfriend.
The sexual
Edward
abuse was discovered after Shockey gave the victim's
boyfriend several DVDs that were supposed to be music videos. Instead,
they showed Shockey and Geveshausen engaged in multiple sexual acts with
the girl, who is "visibly pregnant" in several of the videos.
Geveshausen, or Riverside, had pleaded guilty to five counts of
sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of second-degree statutory
sodomy. She was sentenced yesterday.
In December, the
35-year-old Shockey was sentenced
to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to exploitation of a
minor, statutory
sodomy and promoting child pornography.

Their recomendation of probation was absolutely not an acceptable punishment, but neither was a 58 year sentence! Within the past year this judge has been all over the board with the sentences he has handed down. Is Ms. Geveshausen being punished for not taking the plea bargain she was offered? Convicted child molester, David Liberty, was given a 37 year sentence this past year by this same judge - and this MONSTER destroyed multiple little boys' lives during his crimes. This monday the supreme court ruled that it can keep sex offenders in jail basically forever even if their sentence is served. So yeah even though getting caught peeing outside makes u a sex offender you can bet these two are staying, hopefully, for much longer than they were sentenced.

I am *sick* that this Platte County judge handed such an absurd sentence to this woman. Funny thing is if she would have gone with the plea deal she too would have only received a 25 year sentence like her creep co-defendant, Edward Shockey.
