Leawood woman claims man driving truck full of dogs tried to abduct her

Posted by Justin Kendall on Tue, May 25, 2010 at 8:00 AM

Speaking of kidnappings, KMBC Channel 9 reports that a Leawood woman claimed that she was jogging near Roe Avenue and Tomahawk Creek Parkway around 10 p.m. when a man in a baby blue pickup attempted to pull her into his vehicle.

The woman in her twenties gave police an odd detail: The man had four dogs in the

bed of his 1990s truck. Here's the description of her alleged abductor: a black man in his thirties with a thin build, short hair and light facial hair.

The woman escaped and called police.

Have the police checked the camera's at the intersections to get the licence plate number? Or at the banks in the area (like Valley View? Surely at least one if not several camera's from the stores along Roe have captured and recorded footage of this truck? Maybe the camera at the local donut shop got it? Come on somebody!
