Kansas City police say the bodies found in a shopping cart behind a home at 4501 Askew belong to John and Joseph Hooker.
John Hooker was 21; his birthday was just three days away. Joseph Hooker was 19.
A call to the TIPS Hotline led police to the bodies behind a home.
Their cause of death has not been released.
Earlier today, a search warrant was executed in the 4500 block of Monroe.
Their deaths bring Kansas City, Missouri's homicide total to 43 for 2010.

They have in custody the idiot that killed these two young men, I hope he gets exactly what he deserves!! This was such a senseless tragedy. A Mother has lost two sons my heart goes out to her. May her children rest in peace.

My God, I had to comment back for people like Anonymous and Duh who, no matter what they say, are racist. These stereotypical comments being left are not only senseless, they are totally inappropriate and insensitive to the events that happened. There is a mother somewhere in our community that lost two of her baby boys. Lets be realistic, these were two young men in the community that lost their life. I guess what bothers me the most is that we all know that you(negative, tacky) would never have the guts to go to these mens' funeral and yell this nonsense in person at there family, so you use the internet as a podium to spread your ignorance? I am so appauled and repulsed that people are willing to use their freedom of speech to voice such crass and hurtful things. We are all human and we all bleed red. I feel bad for the family of the deceased. It must be aweful losing 2 brothers at the same time. My condolences to all of you. You can help by trying to change the mentality of your neighborhood, which I know many of you are doing. People that have jobs don't need to kill others. The boy that killed these young men was most likely a thug that had no other motive to kill them besides maybe he wanted something of theirs.
The pigs are too busy chasing the pot heads to get this crime resolved. We've got to stop people from sitting in their bedroom and taking a couple of tokes, even if we have to trade justice for the cause. Those pigs ain't doin' shit! My brother was killed in Ft. Worth, TX, but he's a drug addict, not a doctor, so the pigs have better things to do. They don't want to mess with people that are actually violent enough to kill some of them. They'd rather raid the homes of innocent working folks and shoot their dogs and scare their families to stop me from burning one in my bedroom in the evenings.

You should find some of the other blogs where blacks are attacking whites and take your frustrations out on them. The person responsible for this senseless crime is already in police custody.
Would someone please call the Tips hotline and tell the police who did this, cause they are too busy right now catching those evil old pot smokers and checking for valid drivers license or hanging out at the local QT getting in on what freeby is available.
People are silly, we are killing off our own race and comitting murders for no reason at all. On top of that....we have all of these young men and women giving up the rest of their lives for issues that could have been resolved with communication. Already the young man that comitted this crime has been arrested and is now in police custody. How silly these characters are. All we can do is continue to pray that Lord will open the eyes of our young people (not just African Americans) but all races to stop these senseless murders. Amen.
