Looks like MLB commissioner Bud Selig wasn't lying when he promised Kauffman Stadium an All-Star Game before 2014.

The Kansas City Business Journal reports that sources have confirmed the K as the site of the 2012 game, and that a formal announcement is expected June 16 at the stadium.

During last November's MLB Owner's meeting in Chicago, rumor had it that the $250 million stadium renovation project impressed a lot of people in baseball.

MLB spokesmen have declined to publicly confirm the 2012 game's location, but did confirm that an announcement is expected soon.
