Jeff Tebben, an account rep who plays poker in an Overland Park home game, won a World Series of Poker Event in Las Vegas. Tebben parlayed his $1,000 entry fee into a $503,389 prize.

The Kansas City Star printed a short account of Tebben's triumph in Friday's metro section. The story appeared under the headline "Overland Park man comes up trumps."

The headline writer must prefer bridge to Texas hold 'em. Poker is not a game played with trump cards.
