  • President Obama is coming to KC ... but not for the NAACP's Annual Convention.

Update (1:44 p.m. June 28): Robin Carnahan 's campaign just sent out the details of President Obama's visit to downtown Kansas City next week.

Obama is scheduled for an ActBlue luncheon and reception at Bartle Hall (302 West 13th Street) at 1 p.m. But you better have a fat wallet if you want to attend. Tickets range from $1,000 to $30,000.

Obama is also slated for a "grassroots reception" at the Folly Theater (300 West 12th Street) at 2 p.m. Not sure how grassroots it can be when ticket prices range from $35 to $500.

Original story (11 a.m. June 25): President Barack Obama is

coming to Kansas City for your money. Calm down, tea partiers. Obama is

coming to KC on July 8 to stump for Robin Carnahan and her

Senate campaign, according to KMBC Channel 9.

Carnahan is the Democrat's front-runner for retiring U.S. Sen. Kit

Bond. Her likely opponent is Bible

Belt Republican Roy Blunt, who GOP chairman Michael

Steele once insinuated

was a turd clogging his party's toilet.

Barack isn't the only Obama headed to KC. Two days after the

president's visit, first lady Michelle Obama is reportedly slated

to speak at NAACP's

Annual Convention (slated for July 10-15).

I thought about going downtown to picket the community organizer..but I didn't want the SEIU thugs shoving me around..

And everything I can think to say about him is too vulgar to put on a picket sign..

I'd like to find the first batch of idiots who voted for him..and tar and feather them..I seriously doubt it will happen again..no matter who runs against him..
This should be a no brainer for the Republicans..

The problem with "Vote in November" is there's no one worth voting for. The only reason I voted last time was to keep Palin away from the button. Unless she's running against him, I'll be sitting this one out.

The lack of executive experience shows in his lackadaisical response to the largest oil spill in history. His weakness on defending the citizens of Arizona from criminals illegally coming across the border shows he cares more about posing for votes, than the safety of Americans. His parasitic philosophy of government is to leech off your neighbors, borrow as much as you can from foreign governments, blow it all on an unsustainable welfare state, and leave office so others have to clean his mess.
