Johnson County prosecutors charged Jorge Rodriguez-Hernandez with first-degree murder in connection with the death of his roommate, Asuncion Delgado-Lopez, the 50-year-old woman found dead in the
1600 block of East Cedar in Olathe on Sunday.
JoCo prosecutors listed Delgardo-Lopez' date of
death as June 25, two days before her roommate reported the discovery of
the body to police. Police had classified Delgado-Lopez' death as
"suspicious."
According to Fox 4, Delgado-Lopez was a cleaning lady at a Holiday Inn.
Rodriguez-Hernandez, 29, is also known as Candelario
Monsivais-Izunza. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday at
1:30 p.m.
Until then, he's being held in the New Century Jail on
$500,000 bond.
