  • Tim Lomax allegedly shot his wife twice, killing her. He then turned the rifle on himself.

Timothy Lomax sent his children's babysitter a text message telling her to get his young children (ages 4 and 5) out of the family townhouse. The babysitter likely had no idea that Lomax was bringing a .22-caliber rifle to the home to see his estranged wife, Danielle Lomax. no idea that he'd shoot her twice and then turn the rifle on himself.

The neighbors heard the gunshots. The police found divorce papers in the

house; they'd been at the home earlier in the month for an argument

between the husband and wife -- one of the parents worried the other

would take the children away.

If Tim Lomax were your Facebook

friend, he'd be your most optimistic and depressed friend. He'd be on a

high one hour and on a low a couple of hours later. He appeared to be a

proud father, posting photos of his daughter's first day at

kindergarten, the first fish she caught and his son's first trip to the

dentist. But he was also an oversharer. Here are his final Facebook

status updates before allegedly committing Louisburg's first homicide in

years.

In mid-June, Lomax' marital status toggled from married to single. But trouble started in May.

He'd sound so optimistic ...

And then crushed ...

But the highs ...

Couldn't top the lows. The creepiest message came two days before the shooting.

Did Lomax mean redemption from the barrel of his .22-caliber rifle? Only

he knows.

Thank you for the last post....... Only the people close to Tim and Danielle know what was going on.....No one really knows what happen in the house that morning and what was going through Tims mind but knowing him it was not at all what we all thought was going to happen....... Its a total shock and disbelief.... I love them both very much and I have to forgive Tim what he did to Danielle and then to himself, and try to help them kids as best as I know how.......

Why can't people just report on FACTS and not speculation or opinions??
Mr. Kendall, did you know either of them personally?? Doubtful. If you did you would not post such accusations or suspicions. Only his close and dear friends knew what was going on inside those walls and albeit a very sad and tragic end to two beautiful lives-next time you write an article like this, remember that the there are two children left behind that will someday read your words on the internet..
While I am not defending either victim in this tragedy, all I am saying is that we should have some respect for the families they left behind ESPECIALLY their children.

Did you guys fail to investigate the wifes's many affairs and lack of being in the home at all because she was out partying and committing adultery.

From Danielle's myspace page....

"I never thought I could be so in love with a man, and also have him as my BEST friend. I have found my soul mate in him!"
