The killing in Kansas City continues -- in broad daylight. A double shooting Thursday afternoon ended with a teenager dead and another injured.
The teen's body was found on a sidewalk in the 5800 block of Michigan Avenue around 4:30 p.m.
The victim is described as a black male in his mid- to late-teens.
A
second shooting victim (also described as a black male in his late
teens) was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in stable
condition.
Police are still piecing together the relationship between the shooting
victims. But KMBC Channel 9 reports that the men were engaged in a gun battle with the dying teen firing last shots from his knees before keeling over.
