Chiefs defensive end Tyson Jackson is getting paid. Sports Illustrated put together a list of the highest paid American athletes called the Fortunate 50 and last year's No. 3 pick out of LSU cracked the bottom half of the list.
Between his salary and endorsements (but mostly salary), Jackson is pulling in $18.2 million. That placed him at No. 42 on the list.
Here's what SI wrote:
The defensive end had no sacksWhoand ranked 10th in tackles among
Chiefs starters during his rookie campaign -- yet last year's No. 3 pick
takes home $17 million in the second year of his deal.
said anything about performance? Jackson has a ways to go if he wants
to reach the top -- Tiger Woods is No. 1 with more than $90.5 million.
Here's the top 10:
1. Tiger Woods -- $90,508,163
2. Phil
Mickelson -- $61,660,757
3. Floyd Mayweather -- $60,250,000
4.
LeBron James -- $45,779,912
5. Alex Rodriguez -- $37,000,000
6.
Shaquille O'Neal -- $36,000,000
7. Kobe Bryant -- $33,034,375
8.
Derek Jeter -- $31,000,000
9. Peyton Manning -- $30,800,000
