Steven Martin is a gnarly looking dude who's staring down (with one eye) a federal indictment for conspiracy to distribute meth.
A grand jury handed down the indictments on Friday, but Martin's mugshot was just too good not to share. But Martin, 56, isn't a man to be fucked with (as Wu Tang would say). He allegedly set up a home invasion at meth dealer's house. Then his buddies, brothers John and Timothy Younce, showed up dressed as police officers in order to rob the place.
They had help on the inside, too. Vernon Tennison Jr. allegedly
left the back door of the house open to help get the robbery started.
While this plan was going down on May 23, the target was apparently shot
and wounded.
Martin, the Younces, Tennison and Jason M. Keeton are all charged
with participating in a conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of
methamphetamine between January 1 and May 23. They're also charged with
aiding and abetting each other to use a firearm in the commission of a
drug-trafficking crime.
Oh, and keep an eye out for Timothy Younce. He's still at large, so keep
an eye out for him.
It's a sad day when there is no honor in meth dealing.

It's been awhile since all the drama-I'm 34 now and have knw him since I was a pup-never did anything to hurt or lead me into temptation! You are absolutely right. Steve would not want Lia bashed publicly. I apologize. Not so much for what I feel, but for making my opinion so public. It was in poor taste.
I have been putting together a "fund" of which I will bring to you. To be used for attorney fees, or his books, or even to help pay the phone bill so that Steve can continue to call his wife and daughter regularly.
You know me too. And you will see me on the side lines.
I would like to join the ranks of the many people that are tight with Steve and whom he confided in. LOL. I am friends with Steve. We share a mutual love and respect that has been tested thru time and distance and still remains today. Steve stood by me thru 10 of the longest and hardest years of my life...a debt that can never be repayed. To those of his "friends" that choose to use this forum as the trial and execution of Lia, I have a few questions. Would Steve want you, his friend, to bash Lia, his wife and mother of his child? He would not. Does Steve call you everyday, or even once since his arrest? Do you go visit him at every opportunity? Have you put money on his books? Have you went to any of his hearings? If you answered yes to even one of these questions, then by all means stand up and call yourself a friend, and if you didn't then your "opinion" means nothing. This blog shouldn't be about what type of home someone has lived in (I grew up in a trailer, by the way). What they do with their money, or where they spend their free time but instead should reflect the horrible injustice being done by the Feds to the 5 men and their families that are being falsely accused. This is not the time to issue Lia a beatdown but rather the time to get it together and help Steve anyway we can. So give me a call, if your really a "friend" you know who I am. Hey, friend of a friend and u kno me... I am a Steve's friend and ALWAYS will be. I know a whole lot more than you think! Hurt by Lia? It can't happen. Jealous? Of??????? We're talking about a woman that's going to be sitting around without any utilities soon. Not to mention the fact that she won't be able to pay the property taxes on the house or any of the vehicles that she doesn't "jones" off. He told me he had thousands of dollars put away (I'm talking about 5 digits) in a place where only the two of them knew of. In reference to the article and the other blogs, I want to add that I know Steve very well.
First, let me say that he would NEVER give any of his children meth. He would kick the ass of anyone he thought did or would. However, a great deal of children follow in their parents foot steps.
Secondly, I've always known him to be a fair and honest man in his dealings. However, if you cheated him or ripped him off, he didn't take it lying down.
Is he guilty? My thought is that perhaps someone involved may have owed him. Also, times have changed. People can't roll like they used to. Deperate times may have called for desperate measures. He is a man whom loves his first wife, Louise, his five daughters, and his current wife, Lia, very much. He wants to be able to support them at all costs. Lia herself, has a far greater habit than his own, for drugs and the casinos. He also had to support all her druggie-nannies. It's no secret that she can't take care of their daughter without the help of one of them.
The question now is, how is she feeding those habits now? She's been seen numerous times at the casino since his arrest. It's a known fact that she can't get up and go without a shot of dope. She has always screwed her way to the top of the food chain, so who now? The Mexican drug cartel?

Stacie, I was referring to the half ass story Justin Kendall wrote in the pitch (above) for news readers whom assume its the truth. First off Timothy Younce is and has been in prison for years so how is he "still at large". I hate reporters who put out a story based on the hype not the facts. Its all about the money or the publicity not the truth. I suppose defamation of character isnt enough but throwing in some bogus half truths to make it a jucier story isnt much better than a meth user perpetrating to be a cop.
Mandy's article sounds like she is mad that the criminals got caught. They, the criminals got what they deserved. Don't blame the police for doing good police work. "They have their ways" great journalism.

I have known Steve Martin for the past 10-12 years. I am honored to have him for my friend. I know the whole family, wife, girls and grandkids. He is a very caring and loving man. If ever I would need him he would be there for me.
Whats sad is the damn conspiracy charges people can get charged with. The goverment should do away these charges. Innocent or guilty it doesn't matter. Conspiracy charges always find you GUILTY. No evidence so they always throw conspiracy charges on them.

I'd been trying to decide over the past few days whether or not to comment about this. Stacie saying part of what I wanted to say has prompted me to do so.
I know of Mr. Martin but don't know him personally. From what I know of interactions with friends and family and indirectly with him (no, he's not my "plug"), he's a scary mofo and one extremely devoted father and the devotion of his wife could only be the devotion one would have for a good man.
I've had very positive indirect interactions with him, one extremely negative one, and exchanged an email or two as well as a phone conversation (all part of a potentially negative situation friends helped me get out of).
In the past I've asked people who know him to convey my respect and he's reciprocated.
I'll agree that's a mugshot worthy a tremble or two, but am also told it barely looks like him.
Flip-side is that one of the friends who has described him as a scary mofo is himself one of the scariest-looking (but quite cool) mofos I've known.
