Potheads, you better hope this wasn't your supplier. The feds busted a couple of guys for allegedly growing thousands of marijuana plants near St. Joseph.

The feds scooped up Serafin Rodriguez Gonzalez, 24, and Juan Francisco Garcia, 44, for participating in a conspiracy to manufacture and distribute a couple tons of marijuana.

The feds raided a couple of growing sites in Clinton and

Buchanan counties on July 26 and arrested Garcia. In Clinton County,

they found 3,000 growing marijuana plants. In Buchanan, they found 4,000

plants.

Gonzalez was arrested at an home in KCK, where they found 10 pounds of

marijuana seeds, 40 pounds of marijuana in three large trash bags, five

pounds of marijuana in heat-sealed plastic bags, a loaded assault rifle,

a 9 mm handgun, ammunition and $3,000 in cash along with fertilizer and

other stuff that look really bad in this context.

Garcia didn't help matters, allegedly telling a confidential informant all about the operation and attempt to hire the informant to bring supplies to the men farming the site. Yeah, not helping.
