Kansas Republicans apparently weren't ready to put their laws to the biblical test. GOPers nominated Sam Brownback as their candidate for governor, which wasn't exactly a surprise. U.S. Sen. Brownback dominated Joan Heffington, whose platform and beliefs were well past batshit crazy -- not that Brownback doesn't have his own batshitty baggage (see Engle, Lou).

We'll see if Democrat Tom Holland puts up much of a fight.

The Robin Carnahan vs. Roy Blunt showdown for Kit Bond's U.S. Senate seat is set. But don't forget write-in candidate and white supremacist Frazier Glenn Miller -- or do. The clock says 14:59, Glenn.

Dennis Moore's congressional seat might just stay in the family. His wife, Stephene Moore, won the Democratic primary.

Lynn "Looking for a great white hope" Jenkins won her primary.

Kansas Senate Majority Leader Derek Schmidt will get to challenge Kansas Attorney General Steve Six to be the Sunflower State's top cop.

Kris Kobach's phoenix rise from political obscurity continued, winning the GOP primary for Secretary of State.

Missouri voters passed Proposition C, drawing one of O'Fallon loon Cynthia Davis' imaginary lines in the sand against a provision in the federal health care law requiring people to have health insurance or face penalties. We'll see what happens since federal law throws trump cards on state law. Oh, and at last check, Davis was trailing Scott Rupp in the Republican primary for state senator.

Refresh for updates.
