Juan Lopez may have beat one murder rap, but he didn't beat another.

A Wyandotte County jury found Lopez and "Puppet" Eldier Molina guilty yesterday of murdering brothers Gerson and Jose Diaz-Turcios last November.

Each were convicted of two counts of first-degree murder. The jury also convicted Lopez of felony eluding a law enforcement officer and Molina of criminal possession of a firearm.

Gerson and Jose Diaz-Turcios were found inside a vehicle that had

crashed into a light pole near 18th and Central on November 13. Gerson

Diaz-Turcios, 19, had been shot to death. Jose Diaz-Turcios died later.

Sentencing

is scheduled for October 8 at 2 p.m.

In October 2009, Lopez was

acquitted in the death of Ricardo

Zamora, who was shot in the head and killed on his 14th

birthday near Pearson Elementary School. The jury did find 18-year-old Patricio

Briseno guilty of murdering Zamora.
