Poor Brian Nieves. He's been accused of some really serious assault and got desperate enough to conduct a prayer vigil for himself, but even worse, he recently appeared on Dana Loesch's radio show (listen to the full interview here).
It could be said that Nieves has a bit of an ego -- he certainly likes to refer to himself in the third person -- so it must have stung when Loesch called him Kevin during the interview: "We've sent an invitation out to the Stratman camp, Kevin, and I've sent an invitation out having them, you know, come on and explain their side of the story."
Graciously, Nieves played it cool and ignored the slip up, allowing Loesch to drop gems like this:
Exac, yeah, that's uh...It just doesn't, it just, all of this, there's a lot of things that are going on in politics right now that just aren't making sense and this is one of the ones that has totally caught my eye as being completely that. For all of us who lack Loesch's clarity, she simplified the case:
So to boil it down in layman's terms, basically you have a junior high school girl clique that is mad that you're getting attention.Come on, Brian. You'll take Loesch butchering your name and calling you a girl, but you won't accept a congratulations from Shawn Bell on winning an election?
He is, however, accepting your money. At the end of the segment, Nieves plugged the "Brian Nieves Legal Defense Fund," which has no website or documentation other than Nieves' Facebook status updates. Nieves accepts any kind of money sent to his P.O. Box. The money goes directly to Nieves to fund ... himself.
Loesch has a different idea:
This is where I wish we had the Old West. I, I'd probably, well, I can't say it on air.Not to worry, Dana Loesch. I think Brian Nieves knows exactly what you're talking about.
