Roy Blunt compares building Ground Zero mosque to Dr. Laura's n-word rant

Roy Blunt continued his useless jihad against a Manhattan mosque this week, this time comparing the mosque's construction near Ground Zero to the n-word carpet bomb that got radio host Dr. Laura fired.

It makes no sense, of course, but what else are you going to do when you're running for Senator in the middle of the Great Recession? Talk about jobs? Boring!

Huffington Post got got wind of Blunt's latest theory, which he espoused on St. Louis radio:

There are lots of things that the constitution allows you to do that you shouldn't do. You can say lots of things in our country, and a lot of them shouldn't be said. In fact, some big radio personality just had to cancel her, end her 20 year radio career because she said things that were constitutionally okay to say, but highly inappropriate, and the mosque is also just as inappropriate.
Yes, to some people, the two things might feel equally upsetting. And yes, they're both protected by the First Amendment. But he misses the fact that while not a soul in America can think of a single redeeming thing about the talk doc's rant, plenty of people think there is value in building a mosque so close to where the towers fell, or at least not stopping one from being built there.

Anyway, that's what he said, and pollsters now believe that both black people who planned on voting for Blunt are reconsidering.

Since Timothy Mcveigh claimed to be an upright Christian, I hope they never build a Christian church near the site of the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, and if there is one already there, then maybe it should be torn down.

That location is a poor selection for the mosque. Sounds like this retarded f'n website supports those pieces of shit and their trophy. They should build a mosque there. They sucessfully high-jacked 2 planes and killed a shitload of people....better than 2 birds w/ one stone. Fuck, I'd want a trophy too if I'd accomplished such a great deal using no assets of my own.

We wouldn't be able to build anything that resembled America in a Muslim country that we'd attacked......they aren't as stupid as we are.

What a bunch of candy-asses we've become. Let's see em' build it and let's see a patriot burn it down!

What or who is being redeemed with the construction of "mosque" Islamic Cultural Center near ground zero? Are they redeeming the ideals of the Non-violent muslims? Hooray for freedom, but the desire to build a "mosque" near ground zero is purely inflamatory. You have the freedom of speech, but you can't yell "fire!" in a crowded movie theatre because it will disturb the peace and possibly cause harm to others. I don't believe any of the BS explanations by the founders of the idea to build that "mosque". The same rich middle eastern individuals that fund "terrorism" will be forming a line to dump money into that project, so they could be a part of the spit in the face of the Americans.

Rant over

Dude is running for office, he's got to appeal to the lowest common denominator, in order to be voted in by non-politicians. As above, so below.
