Yesterday, we took a look at the gloriously terrible quasi-campaign Kansas gubernatorial candidate Ken Cannon is running. Facing criminal charges of making a false report to police, battery and making a criminal threat, Cannon's campaign was further complicated when his aide/campaign manager ditched him this week. But Cannon is proving to be quite the resilient candidate. The threat of
jail time, working without his right-hand man and a website that conjures
memories of Netscape Navigator aren't going to stand in the way of the
Cannon and the job. He told the Salina
Journal this morning that he is confident his name will be
cleared.
The main reason he thinks he'll be vindicated, it appears, is because the damned media is spewing lies! Or something like that. He tried to explain it by citing his work as a newspaper
adviser to high school kids. The candidate said in an e-mail to
the paper, "I always cautioned my high school staff members to report
and print only
absolute facts that had been thoroughly researched! I
believe that I have done nothing to receive the kind of treatment I have
received!"
(As you can see from the speech
he gave to kick off his campaign, the guy has a Mussolini-like
adoration of exclamation points.)
sitting (likely in a van on the way to an asylum), he is the only opponent that stands a chance against Sam Brownback. "I honestly believe the race is down to Sam
Brownback and myself,"
he told the paper. How he came to this conclusion is anyone's guess. In
an August 16 SurveyUSA poll -- one of the few polls that actually bothered to include Cannon -- he
pulled in a measly 3 percent of likely voters. Brownback is polling at
around 67 percent, followed by Democrat Tom Holland with 25 percent.
But Cannon must be pretty confident that he can close the 64-point gap and
move into the governor's mansion. His home in Salina is on the market.

Ken Cannon is good man, he has taught and coached young people for 36 years. He has never found himself in a lick of trouble. He runs for office against the B machine and all the sudden has charges against him relating to the same person who is making the accusations, concerning both charges. I wonder who this person supports? His platform is excellent and extremely well thought out, you should check it out at www.kencannon.net He will receive alot of votes starting OCt.13th during early voting. November 2nd will tell if Kansas wants the Washington insider or not.
Just so you know, you don't have your information straight. His website isn't the one you listed, try www.kencannon.net Maybe you should check facts?
