1. Covet some runway fashions. Models showcase looks created by local designers during the (Un)scene KC Fashion Show tonight.

2. Watch a lot of really short plays. EMU Theatre's Ten-Minute Play Festival continues in Lawrence this weekend.

3. Try to stop your heart with bacon. That irresistible, salty, terrible-for-you treat is at the center of Bacon-Fest: The Other Fundraiser, a benefit for the Rehabilitation Institute of Kansas City, happening Saturday.

4. Do that Lady and the Tramp spaghetti move to the sounds of country music and while wearing your best shitkickers for Pabst Presents: Spaghetti Western Death Country Carnival at Knucklehead's on Saturday night.

5. Learn a little something about mixology -- or just taste what the master concoctions created at the Greater Kansas City Bartending Competition on Sunday.
