The attention-starved members of the Westboro Baptist Church don't like anyone stealing their bible-beating thunder. Not even Civil War-mustachioed Florida preacher man Terry Jones, who is planning to burn the Quran on September 11 while you're watching college football.

Shirley Phelps-Roper is reportedly calling Jones a poseur. Fred Phelps' daughter told the Star that Westboro's was burning the Islamic religious text on a Washington, D.C., street back in 2008. "We did it a long time before this guy," Phelps-Roper told the Star.

Yeah, so give credit, Rev. Jones. Not that

Phelps-Roper thinks Jones' has the grapefruits to burn anything.

"They'll browbeat him and he'll back down at the last

minute,"

she said. "He's an apologist. He doesn't serve God."

You can see where this is likely to lead: I fully expect to hear the Phelps flock touting Quran burnings in cities

across the county. 'Cause no one steals Westboro's headlines.

Perhaps these persons should be fighting overseas, where they can make a difference.
If we're lucky, they'll find out what persecution feels like...

Mrs. Phelps-Roper sounds like a slow learner. When you perform the same old tired, worn out act over and over, eventually people will stop paying attention. Thank goodness.
