Barron Bowling was driving down a KCK street when a car tried to illegally pass him. Bowling sped up. So did the other car, and the two cars lightly collided. Both drivers pulled over.
The driver who hit Bowling was DEA agent Timothy McCue, a fact Bowling didn't know when he saw the man charging at him and aiming a gun at him. The passenger also flew out of the undercover car. Both agents forced Bowling, who didn't have a shirt on, chest down on the pavement in the 98 degree heat.
When Bowling tried to get up, McCue pummeled him with his fists, his feet, and the butt of his gun. McCue then shouted a number of insults at Bowling, including referring to him as an "inbred hillbilly." McCue called dispatch and was informed that Bowling had a clean record, so he politely switched the insults to "system-dodging white trash."
Whoa. All this, just because Bowling didn't let a car cut him off. McCue does know that DEA agents aren't supposed to smoke the crack they confiscate, right?
Here's the cherry on top: Bowling was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
That was seven years ago. The Star reported that Bowling just won $833,250 in federal court, in exchange for the severe brain damage and PTSD he received the day of the accident. U.S. District Judge Julie Robinson issued a verdict of over 40 pages listing her findings, which sided against DEA agent McCue. She also commended a detective who attempted, unsuccessfully, to set the record straight.
Detective Max Seifert tried to submit an accurate report of what actually happened. His report was obviously not congruous with the DEA agents' report and was ignored by Wyandotte County prosecutors. KCKPD forced Seifert into early retirement before his benefits had fully matured.
Looks like Bowling wasn't the only one who got permanently screwed by the government that day.

This comes of no surprise, as I was sexually and mentally abused in my place of residence, and it was covered up and I could not get a lawyer to touch the case have all evidence and witnesses...My civil rights were violated and to this day, I can not even look at a badge. The only discipline they used on the officer was 3 days without pay and moved him out west.
Certain names mentioned in this article are also a part of my incident. I know Max and it is a shame, granite he was an a@@ and a hard one at that but he was honest, thats the problem with KCK you can not be honest to have a job in the unified government or police dept.
From now on I will act upon my constitutional rights: The 1st and the 4th,
Music was my harbor. I could crawl into the gap between the notes and twist my back to lonesomeness.
To timely report news? It's bad enough they already steal it from every other station. But couldn't they be bothered to check the KC Star Website sometime timely?
The pitch is a joke.
who care when it was reported? clearly you are missing the entire purpose of the newsfeed.
How is it news to report on Thursday something the KC Star and all other news organizations reported Monday. What a joke.
tim mccue is a prick anyways and he deserves everything he his getting riht now. they should stick his ass in prison and see if he is man enough to handle doing some time like he deserves to do. rember tim at your new job to ask the shoppers if they want paper or plastic.
This is why i hate any and every Govnt entity. Fucking police, fucking DEA, fucking ATF, think they have a right to fuck with whoever they want and sometimes....they get FUCKED! Just because you got beat up all through middle school and high school, doesn't give you the right to fuck with people minding their own business! "jumped out and ran at him with his gun drawn" fight like a man PUSSY! You cant put up those fists? You cowards are a joke!
The only good cop is a dead cop. Detectives are the only true cops left in the world and even they get fucked by the pigs.
