However, they still have major problems that can't beSo if you're scoring the hate at home, that's onecovered by general manager Scott Pioli manipulating the local and
national media.
Quarterback Matt Cassel is horrible. Rookie safety Eric Berry is off to a
terrible start. Second-year defensive lineman Tyson Jackson's absence
has been a blessing to the defense.
If you're scoring at home: Pioli's handpicked QB and his two first-round picks are looking like busts.

former coach Herm Edwards.

Jamaal Charles, Brandon Albert, Brandon Carr -- are finally paying big
dividends. The addition of experienced coordinators Romeo Crennel and
Charlie Weis has helped head coach Todd Haley mature.

terrific.
TheI'm not a Cassel fan either, but bight now, the Chiefs' record says otherwise.Chiefs might have the easiest schedule in the history of the league.
They're the Boise State of professional football. The Chiefs can't win
important games with Cassel at quarterback.

I wonder where I should stay in Rome. Near Colosseum or somewhere else. Anyway its going to be good to visit Rome again.
Shawn Smith is sexier than the entire LFL (lingerie football league) combined. People just be jealous.
Whitlock needs to realize he's OUT in Kansas City. The Chiefs have the best draft class of 2010--so get off Pioloi. And for Chiefs fans that are still deciding on Haley, consider this: Dorsey came to camp 100 pounds overweight in 2009. Bowe was 25 pounds overweight. Haley has changed the entire attitude of this team. They showed up in 2010 camp ready to go. Dorsey says Haley "saved his career." The Chiefs have a ways to go but Haley righted the ship. Some may be "Herm's players" but Haley got them to play.
As far as Berry being a bust---GET REAL!
Funny how Whitlock got his name.... By slammin the Chiefs week in and week out. Guess some things never change but wait he only knows how to wine to make it in his line of work. And as far as the girls are concerned they only like you For your money, cause lets face it no woman wants a nagging lil bitch they want a real man. So keep up the good work Jason and the gold-diggers will keep taking your money!!!!!
Dont hate on the chiefs anymore dude, youre a terribly prejudice writer and you really need to stop the rediculous attack on a team that is on the rise. 3-0 is huge for a team that won 4 games last year. How well was Herm edwards using DJ or Bowe? Haley comes in and finally they start to play like the high profile picks they are. Whitlock, I wanna say this as nicely as possible... Eat shit and die!
Jason Whitlock's an idiot or at least his statements are that of someone who doesn't know what he's talking about. Notice that the core of our team is in their 3rd 4th and 5th years. Their rookie years were all subpar. No one really jumped off the board. Players need time to develop. We will find that what Pioli has done so far is all apart of his plan. The first draft he laid the foundation of the franchise. The chiefs were switching from a 4-3 defense to a 3-4. Even though it was a stretch to get Jackson at 3 it was the safe choice. He fit the new 3-4 scheme. We will find with time that the '09 draft was a solid draft it just wasn't as eye popping as this years. Mario williams of the Texans was thought to be a terriible pick when he was selected #1 overall over Reggie Bush. With time Mario developed into one of the premier DE's in this league. Hopefully Tyson Jackson will follow in suit.
Here's a name for Smith...Shawn "The Junkman" Smith. One of the most important PIECES of our UNIT.
How can you say that Berry is a bust. He is only focusing on the two big pass play he gave up on. Those are just mental errors, which rookies tend to make from time to time. He his tied for first on the team with tackles behind the line of scrimmage. He has been a big help with the run defense. This just proves that Jason Whitlock is the ultimate douchebag!
jason whitlock always has something stupid to say. sometimes i think he hates the state of kansas in general, not to mention many of it's sports teams(save KU). i wont speak about his views on the chiefs because i do not follow the chiefs. however, his comments on interstate rivals kansas and kansas state say a lot when it comes to his strongly internalized favorites. KU loses, KSU wins, "oh no!" KSU has much to work on and KU just had an unlucky bout. he has compared KSU football AND basketball to generic images of rinky-dink, sub-par programs. when KSU has an obviously better season than KU, he hails KU as a better team and comes off cocky by challenging KSU(and many times, the rest of the conference) to do the same next season. jason whitlock is the epitome of the overzealous defeated fan who talks shit as he's walking away, tail between legs. he has no amount of humility when his team wins and it gets even WORSE if they happen to lose. from my experience living in KS, i must say that whitlock is the poster boy of KU fans statewide; he does not accept defeat and only has obnoxious critique of the winning opponents. KU can do no harm and happens across an unlucky day every now and again(despite it happening more often than he lets on). there is a reason that students at KSU affectionately refer to him as "jason SHITlock."
wait a minute, whitlock likes chicks? All this time I thought he was a sackless homo
Herm Edwards may have been a good evaluater of talent...but overall as a coach he was very poor.

Yep... That's Whitlock!
I like my nick name for Shaun Smith better, however.
Shaun Sack Snatcher Smith fined $10k
I would love to see Whitlock choke on his own words after we stomp the Colts next week.
Look, I don't like Whitlock but he does have a couple of points:
1. Matt Cassel- no matter how you think he has done this year "protecting the ball" or "not loosing us games" we paid him $60 mil before he even took a snap. That hasn't paid dividends and probably never will. He will hit a cieling and that cieiling isn't going to be as good as his pay suggests. That one is on Pioli...
2. Herm's guys are our best assets right now. Jamaal Charles, B Flowers, Tamba, Derrick Johnson, Bowe, etc... I'm still not sure if I like Haley or not (although he's growing on me) but I do have to say that it seems to kill him that his best players were part of this team before the new regime. It's obvious by his insistence on starting and giving a majority of the touches to Thomas Jones instead of Jamaal Charles. He seems a little bit petty in that respect...
3. I do disagree with Whitlock on the new guys though. I actually like Tyson Jackson (although Aaron Curry would have been better), Eric Berry will be a stud- he plays with a real agressiveness and passion, Moeaki is nice, Dexter is electric, Jav Arenas is a good player, etc...
Really what it boils down to is that Pioli didn't get off to a great start (overpaying Cassel and only a mediocore 1st year draft) but looks like he's making up for it with this year's draft and bringing Weis and especially Crennel on board.
@Mike, I don't disagree. Both were important games.
