Kansas City Chiefs on a two-game losing streak; did this pass interference call cost 'em? (poll)

Andre Johnson gives Brandon Flowers a little push.
A couple of weeks back, the Kansas City Chiefs were riding high as the only undefeated team in pro football. What a difference a few weeks make.

After yesterday's defensive collapse against the Houston Texans -- giving up 21 points in the fourth quarter for a 35-31 loss -- the Chiefs are now mired in a two-game losing streak. But the Texans got a little help from the officials.

On a second-and-10, the Texans took a shot down the field to Andre Johnson, who made an over-the-shoulder grab after giving Chiefs corner Brandon Flowers a shove in the back. The way the flag was thrown, it looked like the official was calling offensive pass interference on Johnson. That would have been the right call because Johnson's shove-off clearly led to the catch. But nope. The flag was on Flowers, who was absolutely shocked (and rightly chewed the official's ass). But what do you think? Did the officials make the right call? Watch the video and vote.

I'm not sure any of you nay sayers of the call that is the topic here should have a voice concerning the call. A Houston fan would surely say FOUL..and a KC fan say NO FOUL...did any of you see this play call? Something has to be done with these calls that will choose the out come of a game..

That was the 2nd blown call. Look at the holding on the offense for those PESKY Texans on the long TD run. Look close our NO. 91 was held by the PESKY TE and allowed for the running back to squirt around the end for a nice TD.

Ref were looking the other way.

@ VeeG:

Undeniable was the wrong false start call in the first quarter causing us to punt instead of continue a good drive.

Agreed, it should have been a no call, but wasn't the penalty added to the end of the catch 15 yards?

First of all, this is just a pointless article and vote. You give only two choices where their should definitely be three. That was not pass interference on Flowers... however, it was NOT pass interference on Johnson. The correct call is a NO CALL!! Why isn't that a choice in this extremely biased and one sided poll. The fact is, Johnson made a great catch with a little bump... Had he dropped the ball, then it would have been a bad call. I believe the ref through the flag so a call should be made. They called it on Flowers because a pass interference call had the same result as a catch thus making it essentially a no call.

Stop whining...

Seeing as we charge the most for tickets for any team in the NFL, have a poor win ratio (sans this season) it really would not surprise me to see the Chiefs drown in yet another sea of mediocrity.

That was a terrible call! I think the fucked up false start in the first quarter was a worse call that caused worse things than that pass interference call. Bad officiating overall.
