Joe Buck and everyone else who lives in St. Louis think they're so cosmopolitan. We had baseball in the 1880s. We made Jon Hamm. We built a stainless-steel arch to make the obvious point that the Mississippi River is a notable piece of geography.
The snooty comments, it turns out, are passing through some nasty-ass teeth. MensHealth.com says St. Louis has the worst dental hygiene in the U.S.
The listmakers at Men's Health took their eyes off abdominal muscles long enough to find stats on water fluoridation, dental visits, floss use, oral hygiene products and dentists per capita. St. Louis scored the worst of 100 cities.
We can laugh, but our satisfied smiles aren't looking so hot, either. Kansas City has the ninth crappiest teeth in the country. Number of dental visits brought down the city's score.
Here's the Bottom 10, with St. Louis leading the bad chicklet parade.
1.) St. Louis
2.) Philadelphia
3.) Newark
4.) Baltimore
5.) New Orleans
6.) Jackson, Miss.
7.) Jersey City, N.J.
8.) Milwaukee

10.) Dallas
San Jose, California, has the best dental health, according to Men'sHealth.com.

And they gave us Joe Buck, negates everything else.
Also they gave us the ice cream cone and the Aboriginal Olympics.
Oh yeah, and East St. Louis...
