If you thought Kansas Secretary of State Chris Biggs' latest political maneuver of stamping a comically lovely photo of himself on the end of a voter education ad smacked of desperation, just wait. It gets sadder.
Biggs, a Democrat, is lagging behind anti-immigration superhero Kris
Kobach in polls, and he's announced his new strategy for knocking
off his opponent and hold onto his job: A fund-raising competition
between his supporters that like him with a mustache and those who
don't.
Biggs, now facial hairless, says he saw a TV report of him with a mustache,
and it got him thinking about ways he could exploit his fuzzy face days of
yore. People who want him to keep it smooth, he suggests, should donate to his campaign in numbers that start with odd numbers, like $700; fans of the Wilford Brimley look should donate with even numbers $400. He vows to abide by the results.
Now Biggs' backers are being forced to figure out if $0 is an odd of even number.

I pray that Ben Palosaari never successfully holds any government position in my home state of Kansas even if it is in the hi way sanitation dept... though through the magic of fear I am sure I will be wrong.
Go Chris! mustache or not!
Ben sir... you are the odd number... Do they pay you to write this crap?
Yes, Mathgenius, you are correct. However, although 700 is an even number, the Pitch's reference librarian assures me that
seven is odd. Biggs, as the post notes, suggested that donations that start with odd numbers would indicate a vote for a silky smooth upper lip.
