Carvone R. White, KCMO homicide No. 88: Body found on playground outside shuttered Woodland Elementary School

UPDATE: Kansas City police say 19-year-old Carvone R. White was the homicide victim found on the playground of the now-shuttered Woodland Elementary School.

Kansas City police are investigating the city's 88th homicide of 2010 this morning after a dead body was discovered on the playground of Woodland Elementary School.

The Kansas City, Missouri, School District closed the school at 711 Woodland as part of a school consolidation plan last year.



The only information we know about the victim is the sex -- male. His body was found at 6:53 a.m.
