Earlier this month, 21-year-old Stephanie N. Roberts was shot and killed in the parking lot of Jay's Bigger Jigger (3019 East 12th Street).

Today, Regulated Industries suspended the tavern's liquor license for 30 days for "not maintaining an orderly place at all times." The suspension begins November 1 and lasts 15 days.

Why just 15 days? Jay's only has to serve half of the suspension if the bar stays clear of trouble for a full year. The suspension ends November 16 at 1:30 a.m.

Also part of the suspension is the usual "education, training and instruction to his employees about City ordinances."

Witnesses

told police that a disturbance inside Jay's Bigger Jigger led to a double

shooting in the parking lot.

The second shooting victim survived.
