Now for something completely stupid, Jack Harry! I realize no one takes the buzz-cut KSHB Channel 41 sports director seriously anymore, but his latest "Jack's Smack" diatribe -- calling on University of Kansas chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little to do away with the school's football program -- is just so stupid.
"I'm calling on the chancellor at Kansas to do everything in her power
to drop football," Harry says in the video. "Just do away with the sport and all the embarrassment
it has brought to the university."
I get that Harry is just saying shit to get reactions. He's grasping for relevance and reactions, having long since given up on reporting in favor of spewing unfounded rumors. (Remember when horse-faced Mike Shanahan was the next Chiefs head coach? Remember when Harry was "juiced up" over David Glass was selling the Royals?) This Twitter update made his intentions clear:

Jack it hink that youare 100% dead on with this one because Ku football looks like the teams that play in the MAC Conference Where Coach Gill came from. I believe that you webber kietzman and boal and along with kerkoff were right in suggesting that ku & ksu should look at becomming mountain west members instead of the big 12. I will even give you a hint Dan Beebe for months hs been quietly trying to get the old Swac conference members back together and kick the big 8 schools out by changing the name of our joke of a conference to the swac. that's coming from a family member in A&m Country.
KSU was worse off before Bill Snyder came the first time. IIRC, they were considering dropping football, too.
I think College Football should go away but not for the same reasons as Jack.
As a person who likes to rant and rave on the Internet from time to time, I know that sometimes I'm actually being very serious but other times I'm more trying just to be over-the-top to garner a reaction (as General Patton said, it's only important for me to know when I'm being serious). I think this Harry rant falls in the latter category since the notion of dropping KU football, after 120 years, over a couple of bad seasons is simply preposterous. BTW, I think Shanahan was Ratface. It was John Elway who was Horseface. And just to come full circle, Jack Harry is Leatherface.
