John Hughes, the self-professed serial killer/"Antichrist," told police": "I don't mean to be a smart ass about it, but you shouldn't try to fight with somebody with a gun."
Hughes, 34, was talking about Valentin G. Kirilchuk, a 39-year-old trucker from Springfield. In September 2008, Hughes' girlfriend allegedly lured Kirilchuk into a rest stop bathroom where Hughes robbed and killed Kirilchuk.
"This defendant viciously murdered two people in two weeks. He stabbed
his first victim to death, stole his gun, and then used that gun to kill
another innocent man," Platte County prosecutor Eric Zahnd said in a
statement. "For the safety of society, it is good that he will never
live outside prison walls again."
Hughes admitted wanting to rob Kirilchuk, who he spotted parked in a
rest area on Interstate 29 north near Dearborn on September 8, 2008.
Hughes' girlfriend, Dana Tutor, allegedly went to Kirilchuk's
truck and told him she needed $100. Kirilchuk went into the rest area's
main building with Tutor. Once inside, Hughes forced Kirilchuk into a
men's bathroom at gunpoint.
Hughes tried to rob Kirilchuk, who fought back. Hughes shot Kirilchuk in
the head one time with a 9mm handgun at close range. Hughes took
Kirilchuk's wallet, which had $200 in it, and a cell phone.
Police arrested Hughes for DUI in York County, Nebraska. During the
arrest, police found the 9mm, which they used to link him to Kirilchuk's
killing. Hughes stole the 9mm after robbing and stabbing David Durben
to death in Zanesville, Ohio.
In an interview with KMBC, Hughes claimed that he killed
15 to 20 people. He also showed off his lion tattoo
(you know, he's a lion among men) and a biblical quote
tat about the Antichrist (yes, he thinks he's the Antichrist).
Hughes will never see life outside of prison again. He pleaded guilty today to charges of first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, and
armed criminal action. A judge sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole. He is also serving a life sentence in Ohio.
Tutor has been charged with second-degree robbery and second-degree murder. Her next court date is November 16.

People need to understand something, this guy didn't kill to be known. He killed because he is a sociopath that views living things as objects; he said so himself.

I watched an interview this guy did with reporter Lara Moritz. He points out in the interview, how smart he is, how intuitive he is and how in control he is...all this as he sat chained and bound within the confines of jail. He didn't strike me as anything other than "full of it"! This guy's not a lion among men...just another punk with a weapon!

Porky- I got the same vibe, seems like he wants attention and since other serial killers such as Bundy, Gacy, BTK, Green River Killer ETC. made it big in the media and became popular to the point that all of America knows who they are, this guy wants the same. Figures I got caught, im going to jail for the rest of my life so why not make a name for myself and instead of living in jail forever take the easy way out and request Death Penalty. Im a Criminal Justice Student studying Serial Killers and true killers stalk their prey and target individuals that are in their eyes weak or not valued in this world such as prostitutes and homeless ppl... Antichrist is used by idiots that think that Antichrist means that there is Satan walking the Earth. Hughes admitted to being an atheist, and the bible verse says anyone not following Christ is Antichrist.

I seen a interview of him i think....He rubbed off as the type of person who killed a couple people and he no's hes going to be in prison forever so he made up the whole 15-20 to try and make a 'name' for himself.....Idk i could be wrong but thats the vibe i got..
