What do, Mel Gibson, Lindsay Lohan and Kevin Yoder have in common? They were all involved in traffic stops? Uh, I'm still not sure, even after watching Stephene Moore's latest attack ad.

But it's clear in the waning days of her floundering campaign (FiveThirtyEight says she only has a 5.8 percent chance of winning), Moore is going to start flinging shit like a monkey at the zoo.

Earlier this week, the Topeka Capital-Journal brought to light Yoder's refusal to take a preliminary breath test during a 2009 traffic stop. Yoder pleaded guilty to refusing a law enforcement officer's request for

a breath test during a traffic stop and was fined $165. His

campaign has said the Republican state rep. wasn't intoxicated and refused the test because he passed a

field sobriety test.

Also this week, KMBC Channel 9's big-balled political reporter Micheal Mahoney chased after Yoder, asking about the incident; Yoder gave Mahoney the silent treatment. According to the Lawrence Journal-World, Yoder also ignored questions shouted by members of Kansas University's Students Against Drunk Driving chapter.

Expect more nastiness as all of this winds down but can we all agree that Lindsay Lohan jokes are lame?
