Being a porn store must be lonely. The loneliest porn shop in Hutchinson, Kansas, tried to make friends the only way we know how these days -- on Facebook.
Spice It Up Video made more than 1,200 friends, but when many of those new "friends" turned out to be high school students -- and younger -- parents in Hutchinson started yellling "unfriend!" according to the Hutchinson
News. Spice It Up's feelings were so so hurt that it vanished from Facebook last Wednesday.
The Hutch News reported that the page showed the inside of the store -- along with a sign saying you gotta be 18 to get in. The site also tried to sell lube, lotions, DVDs and "Dirty Bands," which are "just like Silly Bands, but they are dirty! Get yours today' only if you're 18!!!!"
Authorities reportedly didn't find anything wrong with the page, but it did break Facebook's guidelines by signing up as a person instead of a business.
The store's owner, the awesomely named Wanda Loveless, told the Hutch
News that the page was set up by a former employee and she didn't
know if any young ones had been friend requested.
"We don't
want any problems," Loveless said.
"We welcome parents to shop here, but, of course, the children can't come
in here -- we card and ID."
