  • Michael Givens died after being stabbed at a McDonald's.

Michael D. Givens was stabbed during a fight in the parking lot of a Raytown McDonald's on November 18. Six days later -- on the night before Thanksgiving -- the 19-year-old died from his wounds.

On the night of the stabbing, Raytown police took a Kansas City man into

custody at the scene of the fight. However, the man was released, and

no charges have been filed in the case.

Raytown police won't say

much other than the investigation continues and they plan to submit

their info to the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office soon.

Givens' death is at least the second killing at an area McDonald's. In July, the body of 25-year-old Oladimeji Oladipo body was found in a McDonald's parking lot on Troost. Oladipo was a student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Jackson County corrections officer who was engaged to be married.

In September, a man was shot during a robbery in the parking lot of a Midtown McDonald's in the 3700 block of Broadway. He survived.
