All of the top politicians and law enforcement in the land of Missouri want to require a prescription to buy cold or allergy medicine containing pseudophedrine.

The Mega-Powers of Gov. Jay Nixon and Attorney General Chris Koster forged an alliance yesterday just like the Macho Man and the Hulkster did but instead of the Twin Towers, their opponents are meth cooks. Do you think a script should be required to buy products with pseudophedrine? Vote after the jump.

It's not like Missouri has a shortage of meth labs; the state is on track to lead the country in meth labs seized. Nixon reportedly said this is the "next step" in fighting "this deadly drug." Lawmakers weren't ready to take this step last year.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a similar bill never made it out of a House committee last year and attaching it to another bill failed.

The pharmaceutical industry isn't a fan, arguing requiring a

prescription would raise health care costs. We know what they think, but what's your take? Vote now.

We need the meth. It's a good thing. I mean "they" told me pot would ruin my life, so I tried it several times w/ no consequence. I assume they must have been lying about the consequences of meth to so I want some.

hell no. since i don't have insurance i have to rely on allergy meds with this substance in them. i understand limiting my purchases by keeping track, but it would only make my life more difficult. if i had to settle for claritin without the pseudo stuff in it that doesn't actually do anything i'm positive i would cut off my nose to expose my sinus, thus making me the poster child for some decent fucking health care for people down on their luck at the moment.

fuck this, fuck them, and fuck allergies.
