It's not like Missouri has a shortage of meth labs; the state is on track to lead the country in meth labs seized. Nixon reportedly said this is the "next step" in fighting "this deadly drug." Lawmakers weren't ready to take this step last year.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a similar bill never made it out of a House committee last year and attaching it to another bill failed.
